A follow-up schedule for one policy
The file contains four all-day calendar events: 30 days, 14 days and 7 days before the policy expiration, and the expiration date itself. Use a separate schedule for each policy. A vendor whose GL and workers comp renew in different months needs two renewal records.
Import and review the calendar
Download the ICS file and import it into your preferred calendar. Check the dates, calendar account and notification settings before relying on it. The tool creates calendar events, not an email campaign. Notifications depend on your calendar configuration, and past dates remain in the file so the schedule is visible rather than silently changed.
Close the task after reviewing the renewal
Receiving an attachment is not the final step. Confirm the new effective date, insured identity, limits and required endorsement evidence. Then record the next expiration and remove or complete outdated follow-up tasks in your own calendar. If several people import the same file into different calendars, coordinate ownership to avoid duplicated outreach.
When a spreadsheet or calendar becomes too much
A calendar can work for a small list, but someone still needs to request evidence, review it and update the next date. Certy stores vendor certificates and supports renewal follow-up on its own schedule. The free calendar download does not create a Certy account, save a certificate or send anything to the vendor.
